Hi
I am using a Skookham on a flybarless atom 550.
In the software there are 3 3settings, RPM1 RPM2 RPM3
Does that mean u can have three different headspeeds
Only the bottom setting RPM3 goes green
Any help appreciated.
Regards
Paul

Hi paul
The first box ix your normal rpm that you want eg 1700 the 2nd box is idle 1 and the 3rd box is idle up 2 and you setup your throttle curves like this
normal mode 0 - 20- 40 -40 -40
idle 1 is 60 60 60 60 60 just a straight line and 1dle 2 is a 100 100 100 100 100 straight line and the gov sorts out the headpeed
the box will light up green when you enter that mode but the normal box should only light up when you are at mid throttle as the heli will be spooling up at low stick
The ramp boxes are spool up speed the 1st box i keep at 50 and is the rpm spool up speed the 2nd box i keep around 100 and is idle 1 and 2 rpm change and i keep the 3rd at 100 as well it is to do with the overdrive which i dont use yet hope i explaied this ok

Thanks for the reply - I have reprogramed the throtle curve as sugested
I'm nearly there but regards the 3 RPM boxes this is where im at:
Box RPM3 = is green in normal mode at zero throttle and changes box RPM2 to green at 20% throttle and over
Box RPM1 lights green when I go into 1dle up 1 and keeps highlighted for full throttle range
Box RPM2 Does not highlight green in idle up 2 or any flight mode at any throttle position
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP
So just to add to the above post
When in idle up 2 none of the boxes light green at any throttle position.
Thanks again
Paul
This is covered in the set-up utility (mouse over.)
Three headspeeds.
RPM1 - throttle 25% to 50%
RPM2 - throttle 50% to 75%
RPM3 - throttle 75% to 100%
I would use flat throttle curves, selecting one of these speeds for each flight mode. It's pretty much like CC governors.
Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

Hi paul in the nitro gov it is the throttle curves that control which box is lite up in normal it is 0 /40 % in the throttle and 41% to 60% for the second box headspeed and 61% to a 100% for idle 2 im not sure how the esc and all that work as i dont have any leccy models but if the 3rd box is highlighted at low stick in normal is the throttle channel reversed ,, do you use the setup wizard in the skookum it should walk you through the throttle set up hope this helps some

Paul, make sure once you've got it all working you save the settings! I recently switched from a dx7 to a futaba 14mz and had to re set the radio loosing everything. Luckily it was only 1 model at that time and not everything, including planks and gliders.
Also, i presume your using a R6203 s-bus with the sk s-bus adapter, i had to take a servo extension remove the signal wire, leaving the power to get it to work as the skookum doesn't put out enough juice. I used a spare port on the power bus. If your not using 1 then a spare port from the 720 will do.
