Blade CX2 GTI :o)

I've completed the upgrades to my CX2, all shiny new blue parts and the blue body, looks the buss' I must say.

Just done three successful flights, I had to manually adjust the Swash Plate as it was on the tilt, So I turned the servo levers off and gave them two good counter clockwise turns placed them back, and the Swash Plate was super level.

I then trained the CX to use these settings as default, and when I took her up she hung there perfect, a little vibration but nothing beyond what you'd expect.

I also done an outside test and nearly cr** myself as there was a wind and I had to land her facing the wind which was a challenge, and as there was three people watching I picked her up after a soft landing and counted my blessings.

I wasn't risking lady luck for a second outdoor flight, not today at least.

Chuffed to bits, my first heli upgrade and replacement parts exercise and so far so gooooood

What a buzz, thanks to all who helped me get this far, I wouldn't have done it without your support.

Sounds like you're well on your way with the CX2... good stuff

I was clearing the garage out today, and (don't take this the wrong way!) but I have a set of real lightweight training undercarriage you can have if you want. Daves blade breakages on any less-than-level landings. I can always bring it along when I nip down in the near future.

Cheers Rob, I tell you the truth I gave my trainer gear to young Scott as he's collecting his Blade today, and by the time I'd have used mine I've got past that Blade chopping at each and every flight stage, (now if that isn't the kiss of death nothing is.)

Come over when you like mate, and thank you for the offer of the training gear, but I'm gearing around just flying it in the square from now on, and being a fair weather flyer.

I've just purchased nearly £60 worth of new parts, OK I could have saved a fortune as I didn't need half what I changed to metal, and luckily I can control her to the point now where I feel comfortable with the control and such.

Just say when you fancy popping over your welcome anytime mate.

I've got some perfectly good parts in the yard, Lower rota assembly, Swash plate, (one careful owner).

Inner and outer shafts, plus a Balance bar (slight damage, due to careful owner not knowing what he was doing).

Well during the first week anyways.

Also loads of screws, one rota gear, and a few bearings. good as new. ;O)

Sounds good to me mate, look forward too it.

Yes there is a slight change to the handling, but above all it looks nice.

I've just ordered the twin headlights to placing on the skid legs and it also has a red flashy light for the rear tail.

Life's too short too grow up.

Cheers mate, yes just tonight, and the blue tail end has convenient little hole for the LED to sit in while the wires cross cross through the inner body.
