  • 450Se v2 Servo setup

    Hi Folks

Right, the airframe for me TRex 450SE v2 is now assembled and I'm going to start with the radio gear next. I've got 3 x HS-65MG's for collective and a 9650 for the tail.

Does anyone know what the recommended location to place the servo-arm balls links are? I mean, in the raptor manual, it says to place them x millimeters from the centre, but I can't seem to find such guidance for the Trex.

    Thanks
    Andrew

I'm going to put the ball links at the end of the arms and go from there What TX and RX are you using??

I've got a JR 378 and a Jeti 7 channel MPD RX. I'm trying to establish where to place the ball on the servo arm, specifically how far out from centre to place the ball. I guess I'm not being very clear, sorry.

Does anyone (Cralis....) have a TX that they've setup nicely and could they measure how far from centre the balls are on the servo arms?

      Thanks
      Andrew

Sorry Andrew. See my other posts. My tail servo is way out now, thanks to my boom swopping and belt replacement. If you tell me what you want measured elsewhere, I can take a look for ya?

You need to put them out far enough so that the link to the swash is verticle Phili its good enough to do this by eye but ensure each ball on the servo arm on the ccpm system are all out to the same point that way you get equal movement & the swash will stay level when the collective is put in.

3 Hours??? Man, what on earth were you doing??

Its karma - one has to build a heli. In my case, I choose to do it before its broken. In your case, you do it afterwards!

                    Hi Nuts

Thanks for the pics. One thing that I can't seem to see is how the tail servo is bolted onto the mounts. What are you using on the other side of the mount?

                    Thanks
                    Andrew

Yip Craig, thanks. Yours is mounted slightly differently to Nutz's, but I think I may just prefer how yours is done.

                        Cheers
