• Airfields to become Brown field sites

The government plans to re-designate airfields as "Brown field sites"

This will mean that planning permission to build on what was previously green belt land will be much easier to get,

This will in turn make the land much, much more valuable, and could lead to a lot of our airfields being sold off!

There is a petition to stop this here http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Airfields/

If you object to the government's actions, I would urge you to sign the petition

    Hi

While I totally agree that this should be stopped, the east of England is covered in old WW2 airfields many of which are used as model sites but the rest of the UK has to make do with using muddy old fields so the sell off of old airfields will make no difference to most of us.
