  • Wobbley flips ??

Had a realy good couple of tanks last night, after the wind dropped and before we lost the light, however, during my flipping, my sceadu has devolped a big wobble, the hole heli wobbles quite slowly but very prenouced, I suspect its worn dampers as I have checked everything is still in line etc. Anybody agree ??

Oh and just one more thing, I thought I would try a roll last night, was high and fast, so put in full right cyclic, and dropped the pitch as it came round, then the engine nearly died, finished the roll as best I could and throttle back up and managed to get it out before it hit the deck, so with that i am writing this note to self, check 'THE SWITCH' before you try anything new.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

    And a DX8 too

So now you reached that point where oyu basically have to say, never takeoff in normal. alsways switch to idle up.

Having done that and avoided the inverted in normal situation I started doing autos. Then you have to switch back into normal, switch off hold, rev up, <and switch back to idle up> and now there is a risk of taking of in normal again... Which I did, got away with it once and burried a set of maniacs the other time.

Without a governor you probably want to go into normal for fast descents...which brings another risk of forgetting idle up.

I set all my pitch curves to put the stick in the same place in all flight modes, but having normal hovering at half stick would be a way of always knowing you are in normal rather than idle up!

600n dampers? K&B mild to wild - I'm on the yellow. Fit and forget.
