I saw a vid on youtube of somebody with a cam mounted on a heli. Not so special you think, but actually this one was.... The camera had a built in ASI and Voltage meter, which displayed in the shot. So could see just how fast he was flying... WOW!

Anybody seen this camera and know what it's called?

Cool idea... Makes you wonder how long before real time telemetry will be something that is incorporated into TX/RX sets. Probably is available.. but like most things at a hefty price at the moment.

That'd be great, getting silly but with a headset controlled cam, so you have the ability to look round like in FS now. Be great then for ppl who can fly RC helis but for whatever reason aren't able to go up in a real heli.

Hi this isn't a camera, it's OSD (On Screen Display).. The camera video and heading type data is mixed/overlaid on the video signal. This is an addon device for video FPV downlinks.

They come in many variants, the basic ones show lipo Volts and power used etc, the more elaborate models have GPS, with distance and direction to take-off point, heading, altitude, artificial horizon, speed as well as monitoring heli lipo's RC battery, rotor head speed etc.
