Default advice on a 25a or a 30a esc please.

Can someone confirm for me that running 3 x hxt900's and 1 x ds420 with a 800mah 3c lipo and a 5000kv motor with a 12t pinion on a hk250gt that i would be better off with 30a esc (with a inbuilt 2v bec) rather than a 25a? (its the turnigy plush esc)
would the 25a be fine?... i think i would be better off with a 30a but need confirmation before i buy, dont want to get the 25a only to find it cant cope with the load.

    thanks!

**this heli will be going fbl with the zyx soon.dont know if that makes a diffrence with regards to the esc choice, but thought id mention it!**

I'd go 30. Bit of extra headroom never hurts when it comes to esc' s

thankyou. that was my way of thinking too. no bad effects with too much (bar a little more weight and money),but too little leads to all kinds of problems! thanks, just needed someone to help me make up my mind. 30a it is then.

ah right, interesting. do you think it would cope with a 5000kv motor and 3 hxt900 (draw quite a lot of power so ive read) and a digital tail servo?

its the bec that runs servos ,ive tried the 25a esc with a fbl tarot unit ,4 didgital servos with no ill efects. even the standard esc with the t250 is 15a 2a bec ,need to keep the weight down. something to think about.....mick

thanks mick. i wasnt aware that the trex 250 has an esc as small as 15a.i was under the impression that the minimum required is a 25a so thats a bit of new info for me. it never occured to me to check out the stats on the trex.i am aware weight is a big issue with such a small heli, even more so as im only running a 800mah battery.maybe a 25a is the way to go. although its only a 3gram diffrence between the plush 25a and the plush 30a i guess 3gram less all up weight can only be a good thing. food for thought anyway. thanks mick.
