Well thanks to Richy for bringing my FBL over the field today and I was gonna set it up at the field but Tony (Sesame) was moaning (LOL) so I flew instead of "playing with my spanners" but did have a ball flying so not to bad
Thing is I have read a lot of the very informative threads on here and just wondered as I have never done a FBL set up before if you can offer any tips and advice on the set up or does it really go together as easy as it sounds I got this as I hope its typically Align and with the updates being released in a month or so should solve any issues that are about. So any tips?

Really don't think you will need any advice mate, its such a simple conversion (it must be if I done it without any drama's) :-)
Just make sure you check your Spindle bolt's cause mine were not tight, but that's obvious anyway :-)

Well we had a ballink split clean in half on the 700 FBL head at our field today !!!!!! - it was on the main blade grip too, was only hovering at the time when it let go, fortunately just damaged a main blade and the TT gear but could have been mashed!
It was 3.0*C were not having a similar 'plastic' problem that we had on early 700's links? Will try to get a pic as its not my heli... I know Im in a 600 thread but thought id give you a heads up ! |

If you a good boy then I might let you have a go
![]() The new washout base, when you put this on the mainshaft and do it up obviously it does not move but it dont say how high or low to put this, if that makes sense Do you just put it near the top out the way?

Surely just put the collective to maximum, then bolt the washout base a bit above that

You lock it so the Arms are 90 degrees, about 10mm from the bottom of the head block, it does show you later on in the instructions as you will have to wait till you've set your Pitch with the Swash in the middle etc :-)

![]() Set your swash level at mid stick with the new servo wheels fitted. Connect your new links supplied with the FBL kit and make sure the mixing arms are dead level at mid stick again. Tighten up and job done.
