Default RCHA Safety & Achievement Scheme Committee's

Just in case you haven't seen the post within the insurance thread. I intend to setup two key committee's in 2012 firstly focused on Safety and secondly a committee concerning the Achievement Scheme.

To outline some key elements I've list below the main functions of each committee as a draft there maybe elements that some may wish to add in or alter in some way but in any committee there need to be an fundamental understanding of its purpose and what key measures it should be focused upon.

    Safety Committee
    1. Create key safety guidelines for flying fields
    2. How to manage safety from product issues
    3. Guidelines for events and competitions
    4. Process for documenting incidents and liaisons with Ofcom/CAA
    5. Beginners Guide to Radio Controlled Helicopters

Monthly produce reports on Incidents and AFIP (Area's for Improvements in Practices)

The Committee requires a 3 or 5 people.

    Achievement Scheme Committee

    1. To finalise the drafted Achievement Scheme - One area for debate is to remove barriers so for example under my draft I proposed that only One examiner is needed to award either level.
    2. Develop examiners notes - (what's needed and KISS (Keep it Sweet & Simple))
    3. Develop online submission form for examiners to complete for completed successful awards. (SN on hand to assist)
    4. Design A5 Certificates for Achievements (SN on hand to assist)
    5. Recruit Examiners for each region in the UK.

Monthly produce reports on award levels and AFIP (Area's for Improvements in Practices) -

The Committee requires a 3 or 5 people.

In principal I would be looking for each member of the committee to pick a key area/s to work on and liaise within each committee and across committees when required especially on safety aspects.

These are brief outlines those selected for the committee's may have further points to add. I am looking for open minded and forward thinking individuals the old saying of 'Two Ears and One mouth' to be used in this proportion, so being open minded to others within the committees ideas and not driven on a single vision is paramount.

This is about trying to set new benchmarks that have a strong foundation based on years of knowledge but also a good understanding also of the youth and how we can encourage/motivate them within the achievement scheme.

I have a couple of PM's already from some who are interested and I am keen to hear from those who are interested. Please PM me if you are interested.

I've sent you a PM Stuart.
