Default So who still has a Dragonus II / 450 ??

This part of the forum has a lot of tumbleweed for sure!

I bought my Dragonus II over a year ago now but only recently got it flying and I love it.

Several people on this forum bought Dragonus II's over the year - including our admin.

So who has Dragonus II / 450's? Who still flys? What do people think?

Lets see some specs, and some pics!!!

Well I know its sad to reply to ones own post - but no one else replys to my threads to guess its up to me!

Put up some pics of my Dragonus II. I've had it for well over a year but have only just finished putting it together and getting it airworthy!

Using this heli to learn on. So far am very impressed with how stable it is.

    Spec is:

    Original Dragonus II Intruder Kit
    RC-TEK 450 Motor and 30 Amp ESC
    4 x Supertec Naro+F servos
    Schulze Alpha 8.35w Reciever
    Futaba GY240 Gyro
    Futaba FF7 TX
    1 x RC-TEK 3S1P 2200 20C Lipo
    1 x Align 3S1P 2150 25C Lipo
    Align 325Pro Blades

Plenty of room for improvement! Wiring is very messy

Going to just keep hovering with what I got for now but my birthday in September so gonna treat myself to a Scorpion Motor and ESC and 4 x HS65MG servos.

Wouldnt mind also going A123's when i get new motor and ESC but not 100% sure on that! I dont like LIPOS.

Awaiting a crash kit at the moment as i had a blade to floor fight and the floor won. (hence the Align blades). But mainshaft seems bent too so gona strip and check everything.

There are now 5 of us with them in Ashford, great little bird.
The parts are a pain to get hold of but we now buy them from Tiawan or Hk at less than half price
If you have the plastic ver, make sure you upgrade to the ali washout block, (only $2) the plastic ones are terrible.

Here is the best place for Dragonus chat

Yep, Glen has let the side down by putting a lovely heli like the Dragonus inside a naff Airwolf fuse, he does work in IT so is to be expected really

Hmm maybe this is a mistake, not got my latest custom painted canopy from him yet

I used to have one years ago, flew nice. One crash couldn't get bits and chucked it in the bin.

Then I had a mini-T which again I liked but then sold to Lee (Made2Fade).

Now I think my next elec will be a 500...

Default I've got a Dragonus II Pro...too - need parts!

I've got one too (acquired well over a year ago though), just finished it. Got 5 great little flights, 6th not so good. Gust of headwind pushed me back towards a wall, beginner me decreases pitch to plonk it down (12 degrees I might add) tail hit the deck, tail blades made contact the rest is history.

So there I was, needing a crash kit. New Boom, new blades, main shaft etc and can't track down a uk supplier anymore. Ended up going to Hobby Lobby in the states to get parts, waiting 10days so far - watching this space.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of Dragonus components? I'll mess things up again for sure.
