Default Rave Env V Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaar Balls !!!!!

ok having managed to conect my V bar to my window 7 PC (thanks paul) I quickly found that i have way too much movment and a quick read of several forums points me to shorter servo arem diamentions and shorter control ball links on the inner swash race.

Most folk seem to prefer Quick uk balls and rocket city links but I could do with the part no's for the balls please.
my guess on the MH web thingy is

    HP016 : 4MM CONTROL BALL - LONG THREAD

can anyone confirm this part no please also the diamentions as I have some Align 600 balls that look very simliar .

    Thanks all

    X rach

Go in a hole on the servo horns if possible.

Do you have too much movement on both cyclic and collective?

    Leave it at that

I'd just go in a hole on the servos, I doubt you will notice the difference in flight characteristics.

no not flown , v bar a pita to set up but I have been watching the smack Talk video and its quite helpfull , I did not find mr mel's fre videos that good but hey that is me being simples , lol

I am a little concerened with the amount of subtrim I have had to put in to the V bar fot the centers 28 ish on each subtrim and I had to up the travel adjust to 118 ish to get the required 100% range.

Going to have a go again tomorrow.

MrMel doesn't cover all the little details, he presumes that you know the basics it seems; which isn't great if you havent used one before.

It seems quite a lot, but if it there are no trim elsewhere, it should be fine. Setting up a new model guarentees this I suppose.

Rachel, I've put a CGY750 on my electric Rave and had to use shorter balls. I found that the Trex 700 balls and links fit so it may be worth a try with these as they reduced the throws enough for me to setup the CGY750 in the required throw ranges.
