    Default HK Parallel Balance Boards

I've just ordered a PL8, and also have these 2 charging boards on the way from HK

Will these plug directly in to the PL8 or do I need an adaptor?

I also ordered one of these with the PL8 as a backup.

Get the adapter lead. I got mine from the states.

The MPA one may even work.

Is it a male or female JST-XH on the end of the adapter lead?

I thought about the lack of fuse, when they turn up I'll look at fusing them. I will buy the MPA board as an when I can afford it.. one step at a time

You can buy the lead for £3, why goes direct from the board straight into the PL6.

Then change the wiring node to XH in the cellpro software.

    Hi sacko
Which lead is that? The same as the one for the MPA board?

I'm using the cellpro jst-xh parallel board at the moment for charging turnigys, (1 at a time) should I have changed the wiring node to xh in this case?

i am also faced with this question ??

from reading the manual i believe the anwer i yes - you do set the node to xh as its the type of balance connector/plug that your batteries has that counts..... the Turnigy bats have the JST-HX balance plug

    quote from manual :

When switched to XH/EH mode, the PowerLab will look for pack + on the last wire connected to the battery pack without any empty pins in between.

the diagrams in the manual quite clearly show that the FMA balance plugs have empty pins between the node wires and pack positive whereas the HX balance plug does not (no matter what the bats cell count it is)

i may well be corrected ....its what i'm going with though as it makes complete sense to my little brain

It is the wiring between the PL6/8 and the balance board that determines the answer, not the battery packs.

The FMA MPA requires the XH setting, the standard FMA XH balance boards do not.
