ok glen got some info for you wing span tip to tip is 8ft tail to eng mount (no eng or cowling) is just under 6ft

and got some more pics for you. there quite a few so you need to click on thumb nails as dont want to slow the page to a halt lol

what does the engine run on? its it glow fuel or petrol?

The carb on that certainly looks more like a petrol engine than methanol.

i have to agree is does look like a petrol 2 stroke engine but the there no coil or magneto so it could well be a nitro engine

Good on you Glen and well done to twister too for giving it up.
You probably could have made a little dosh by selling the engine seperately. Its good to see that there is a genuine appreciation for what it is and not just a way to make a quick buck.

its a petrol eng converted to glow plug...

I thought about selling it, would help me get my 450 off the ground...but I was given this for free... also hand on heart that eng was started a few years ago so i cant say for 100% that it is ok. i am feeling very good about glen, sounds like its going to a good home... and that makes me happy, Spitfire greatest aircraft of all time imho, and even that this is not scale it still looks like a Spitfire, and as i said before if i was forced to dump it, it would break my heart to do so.

all in all i think its more about getting this great model back to where it should be, in the air... and not lining my pockets with cash.
