Thread: 6s vbar'd fusion superb

Well I finaly got the fusion 50 flybarless dialed in today & it certainly doesn't dissapoint.Im getting 5 minuets of sport flying out of my 6s opti 5000's with 25% left but I'm not hammering them just yet. I can't imagine what this thing must be like on 12s better than drugs is my guess. When's the 90 out I think I need one lol.

Sounds great, I still have not fully utilised my 12S setup, can't wait for the Fusion 90, should be an awesome machine.

What headspeeds are you running with your 6s setup Martin? On my Outrage 550 I am at (I think) 1860 in IU1 and 1920 in IU2, 550mm TT blades, flybarred and I am currently flying for 6 minutes of solid aero moves, all smooth, no big pitch pumps or anything, and I am only drawing just over 60% using Turnigy 5000 packs. I suspect the 550 probably weighs about the same as the Fusion. Mine is 3.3kg ready to fly (the Turnigy's are a bit heavy).

I just always thought a full-on 50 size, 600mm blades etc. was too much for 6s but apparently not (although 12s must be really smokin).

Head speed is up around 2200 as I can't physically get it any lower with a twelve tooth pinion & have the hobby wing governor still work as it only cuts in at 60% throttle. I'm looking for an eleven tooth pinion, needs to be .8 mod & fit a 600 mx 1220 motor.

Very Nice martin, Having seen Raptorheli2 give his the beans on 12s it is a monster, completely unboggable and takes everything he throws at it! Im betting the 90 will be an absolute Beast!!!

2200 is awesome on this heli mate,it loves it,glad your up and smiling again

My 12s is just overkill for me but I do love it.
Mine runs at about 1900-2000 head speed, the big motor just pulls it around at an awesome rate.

You've just gotta love electrikery

What motor is in yours?

I put a 4035-500 in with a 12t pinion which will give me about 2100 at 80% which is bang on for my Kontronik 80hv

It's the 4035 530kv I'm running 60% gov mode on 13t with my yge. It's a hoot to fly.
