The tailbox failed thats what im getting at as being the perfect example why not to buy an outrage. I've had no issues with mine & it flies superbly, but so does my 550 & my 700 Ive never had an align fail due to a design fault, sure align use cheese for screws but if you use good quality tools it doesnt cause too many issues. Ben its either time to pin the boom or sell it on.

Not being biased here but personally, I've not had bad customer service from RcHub due to the problems with the 90?

Didnt Avant Aurora have problems with their new Aurora back in the days.. and avoiding emails from customers with problems!!...

They're still newish kits and they will of course have teething problems.. just dont buy new kits and just wait 6 months for all the problems to be ironed out!... or.... just buy align, lol

Align have had their share of booms backing out and tail boxes rotating...been there and paid for the mess and learned to pin booms.
Nevertheless Ben is correct that we shouldn't accept/pay for beta testing design flaws..although equally we are modellers as well as fliers and we ought to use 'commonsense' when assessing the kit we're about to risk ourselves near.....

now that it looks like we have the final answer on this i'll say my peice and call it a day if i may.

    1. i was dissapointed the tail hub was not pinned from the factory BUT it's not the only model i've had like this so i knew about it and was happy to fly it without a pin. i done the same thing with both my rex 600's and a vel 50.

    2. will the lack of a pin put me off flying the heli-no-i'd pin it and move on if your concerned and enjoy the model-OR- pay the 13 quid or so and buy the new part if it bothered me that much. being a tight scottish git i'll stick with my 5p pin mod using a bolt.

    3. customer service-the fusion was released about 2 months ago? within 2/3 weeks 3/4 people i've read (could be more but all i've seen) had a tail box spin. i'm not saying that is an acceptable number but given the amount out there that are ok i'm not surprised to hear the advice is pin it if your concerned on this occasion. i'd also like to say this-i've had 25-30 first batch kits as i'm a glutant for punishment and i can put hand on heart and say i've NEVER seen a fault reported to a new part made within 4 weeks in my life. outrage DO listen to feedback and if a serious fault is found they do put it right FOC (90 gears, swash etc etc) or mod the part and include it in future batches.

on this thread they went a stage further and replaced damaged parts from resulting crash which i can guarantee you this-you won't get that from align (i don't like mentioning them but keep getting brought up for comparison) -infact you won't even get a reply from align let alone people in an official capacity coming onto the forums to assist you in a small market (UK).......... i'd bet the mortgage on that.

lastly i'm thankful for people highlighting this issue and i'm equally thankful (not surprised though) outrage have listened and fixed the part just incase.

now can we please go fly the damn model as i promise you it is wasted sitting on our benches :-)

    cheers

I have had a few emails back and fourth with Tim today and am happy to report that he has told RC hub to replace my tail hub but I have asked if I can wait for the new tail hub and get this when it is available. Outrage have said yes and to contact RC Hub when it is released rather than get a normal non pinned tail hub.

That is all crash damaged parts replaced when that comes through.

Im happy to wait for this and will be patient as I will not be paranoid then when it fly's
