    Default Fusion Battery Size 12S

    Hey Guys,

Finally decided to buy a fusion after my Velocity 50 frame was starting to get a bit sloppy and just really not nice to fly anymore.

Got the kit already, ordered the CC80HV2, away to purchase motor and bec but my question is what is the normal size of pack people are flying for 12 cell? 2 x 3000? 2 x 3300? Wanting to get Opti-Powers.

    Cheers

Just to avoid any confusion, that is normally referred to as 12S, 12C as per your title is something else entirely

I use 3500's from opti and they seem a bit on the light side if anything but nothing to bad at all

Opti do 3500's which are perfect on the 600efl, not sure about the Fusion - in sure Jamin_00 is using them in his Fusion though, so shoot him a PM and ask what the size/weight/fit/CofG balance is like with them...

lol - Yeah defo won't be charging any batteries at 12C, meant to put 12S but typing under cover from my boss at the moment ;-).

Cheers will look into some 3500's, love the fact Opti do that 50% thing.

3500s here aswell. They fit very nice on the stock tray right up front.

Forgot to mention about balance but they are a small pack and there is plenty of room to move forward and back therefore allowing the cog for me at least to be spot on

The 3300's I'm using are 530grammes and the Opti 3500's are 590grammes. I was aiming for an 8 to 8.5lb model with packs so the Gens Ace I'm using works.

Did you fit that BEC yet?
If so, how much difference did the weight saving make?

I was more wondering about difference in handling and performance as you were not too chuffed at first due to the weight.

I couldn't feel 120grammes if it were to be hanging round my neck. I'd already bought the BEC because I didn't like the LiFe packs the weight saving was just a benefit. I wouldn't know whether it was heavy or not Ed purely going on others recommendations.

However, for my limited flying ability I am starting to like it. I'm still not blown away by the performance but like the smoothness though. Might see if I can shave a bit off the heatsink on the bec
