Thread: Fusion 50 & 550 blades with boom kit.

Was lurking on fastlads website hoping the new cnc items would appear on the outrage section when I found this kit of parts to shorten the tail on the fusion.

Has anyone done this yet & how did it fly?
My thinking is to get 550 blades on my model then buy another airframe & go 12s with it.

Was toying around with the idea of this to take the place of my logo 500 !!!
What sort of times are you getting on yours at the moment?

I'm getting 5 mins tops of very normal sport flying with the odd flip loop & roll thrown in. I'm still breaking my opti powers in so haven't been hammering it yet

Buy it Martin, i have a spare set of 550mm edge FBL blades you can borrow to see what its like, if you like it buy some if not you have only wasted £22.00

I ran mine with 553 blades when it was 6s and it flew great but I left the boom standard, really you want as short a boom as your blades will allow to boost elevator performance, I would of gone for the 550 conversion you have mentioned but I decided to go 10s instead but I am still only running 603's max so I went with the 600 conversion boom kit which is 30mm shorter, the only thing I changed was the push rod to a Avant Aurora carbon one which fits perfectly with some trimming.

I've seen Slyster77 vids before
I get just over 5 mins of spirited flying and a few tictocs but the logo's so light. But £10 for a mainshaft !!!

I would'nt convert mine to 550 size,sod that...go the other way martin 10 or 12s...lovin mine on 12 with 623 mains

I intend to also have a 12s machine Nick but at the moment I have 5 6s packs
2 opti 5000 & 3 turnigy 5000 & I don't realy want to puff them so thought fusion 30 would be mint.

It's an option nick but would be more expensive.
There's a fusion in for sale for £200 & Rob Blake is putting new flybarless fusion kits out at £310 including free postage that's very tempting prices matey.

In that case why not just use 553 edges on your 6s,leave the boom as it is.You could convert the 6s to 7s now with the 7s 5300 optis if you wanted

Not without a motor change unfortunately mate.
It's all irelevant realy as I can't do it till things sell.
engine & pipe hasn't sold nor has my 450 or 700 pro.

If it doesn't weigh significantly more than the 550, which I suspect it doesn't, then it should do very well running 550s
on a 6s power setup. My 550 just runs effortlessly, everything stays cool, peak amps only about 90 and average is
much less.
