The 130x is FBL and has a tail driven from the main motor. That instantly cuts out a lot of the problems. If you can fly an mcpx you will be able to fly a 130x.you're having trouble flying an SR and you're planning on getting a 130x??
I started with a honeybee cp with a tail motor and although I learned to tail in and side on hover with it, the tail motors are so unpredictable they keep the gyro guessing and many times this causes a crash, as a beginner the last thing you need is an unpredictable tail whipping you round to nose in without warning. This is why I avoided the mcpx too, doing major mods to a heli just to make it fly as good as they say is not something I want to do. I'm tempted by the 130x, it looks to fly great but will wait the usual 6 months to see what problems arise. Had fingers burnt on Version 1 crap in this hobby waaaay too many times now.

The SR was returned by HH and fixed FOC. The report said that various parts were missing which resulted in a loose head when attempting to fly. Had it out in the garden today and for the first time I managed to get into a hover without problem.
My faith in this heli has been restored.
That's the great thing about Horizon Hobby, their customer service is fantastic. IMO not something you get from Aligns importer.
