Always seems the same problem with Walkera stuff, I don't want another transmitter which doesn't work with any other system, so why would I buy one of their heli's ??

Some clever designs, but always bundled with stuff you don't want which makes them too expensive to have a play with.

I think that may be wrong, surely a gyro can only influence the 3 orientations of pitch yaw and roll. If they stabilised translational movement then it wouldn't go anywhere would it, probably best for a Walkera model The colour Tx look cool though

I'm sure I read somewhere that they had a Spektrum compatible version - like the mCPx. Or did I just imagine it.

The answer seems to be that they are measuring both rotational movement and translation using accelerometers so that gives them 6 measurements, 2 on each axis.

I guess they sell well somewhere, but this has alway been the stumbling block for me. I quite fancied one of their little nitro heli's, might have been crap, but considering it ALWAYS comes bundled with a Walkera tx, it makes it too expensive. I'm sure they miss out on a lot of sales.

Well considering I'm a futaba man, and I would have to buy a Spektrum tx to fly the MCPX (which I can not decide is worth having) this might be worth a punt. Spent too much this month, but it does look like fun. I wonder how hard it will be to get the spares??
    Cheers,
