  • Transfer Model Settings from DX6i to DX7

    Howdie Folks,

Can anyone tell me if i can export the settings from my DX6i to a DX7.. Or would i have to manually go through the settings i have on my DX6i and input them into my DX7? And would it be just a case of just duplicating the setup from one to the other?

The reason I ask is that where as i am happy setting up a standard heli, i have a blade 400 with CCPM which came already pre-programmed into the DX6i so i have no experience of setting this up

I guess if there was a cable which could link the two, and transfer between the two it would make life easy.

    Thanks in advance

    Aidi

i know you can on the JR transmitters which are basically the same beast but it has to be the same radio.

i wonder if JRs data transfer software will do it tho?

Thanks for confirming that. I have downloaded the .pdf from Spektrum which will allow my to make a note of the settings on my dx6i prior to getting them into the DX7.

Are any of the following possible:

To copy models between a pair of DX6is

To copy models between a pair of DX7s

To edit/store DX7 models on a PC, etc (has anyone tried the JR software, etc, suggested earlier ?)
          Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

Dont think theres a way of doing it bud apart from setting up a new model on the dx7 and starting again!

I'm gonna dig this one up again. So to confirm, when I get mine new Shinny DX7s - It's just a simple (or not so simple) case of copying the settings like for like? Nothing hidden I have to worry about?

The basic settings like channel assignment, servo norm/rev, swash +/- will transfer across, but the numeric values are not the same.
I'd say you might as well set it up as a new model from scratch it doesn't take long.
