  • Is it ok to use 2x DSM2 satellites?

As above, my 700 came with DSM2 satellites. Are they ok to use or do I really need to move them to DSMX?
They are connected to a Mini VBar 5.3 Pro

      Great thanks!
I do have dsmx satellites but one is used and has scratches so not sure I want to use it.
Plus I can't be bothered to change them over at the moment.

The difference between DSM2 and DSMX is (to the best of my knowledge) mostly about improving the frequency hopping to ensure against clashes with other models. I believe this is particularly aimed at the indoor / micro market with sometimes there can be upwards of 10-20 models flying simultaneously.

For large helis, where the chances are it's just you, or maybe one two others flying, I believe DSM2 is absolutely fine.

so if I just bind a DSMX it might go at 22 rather than 11 unless I choose 11ms? is that right? I just got my first DSMX rx.

There is no issue with DSM2 unless there are a gazillion models flying on 2.4. The world RCHA record last year had many models on DSM2 (including mine) and there was no issue and we had well over 100 (or was it 200+) fly at the same time (someone will say how many).
There was I think one model that failed to bind on switch on - not sure what type of radio it was.

Your tx will no, but when binding Vbar select hi res otherwise will be 22ms on this I believe.

So you 700n can be changed in tx too 11ms if supported in beastx, and ar7000 is 22ms, the newer ar7010 is 11ms

Will that require a re-bind? Or do you select it on when you set model up from scratch??
also look at my wire setup thread to see if I've got it rite please??
                        Regards

                          Just rebind to be safe
ar7000 has 1024 on it which means 22ms
ar8000 has 2048 on it which means 11ms

                              Hey.

The higher resolution is one reason why I would use DSMX sats in Hi-Res mode if you can.
