Here's a sweet little video we filmed yesterday! Conditions were good and the heli/gimbal was behaving! Still needs some more work on the gimbal but it's getting there! No stabilisation at all in this clip

Let me know what you think!

    Cheers

    Dani

    Hi Dani,

Nice job dude! I always like the vertical shot looking down!

It looks like your gimbal is behaving well - which camera, was it the Canon or Sony?

    Cheers,
    Simon

very very good love that stuff. Only constructive comment is the camera starts and stops seem a bit harsh. Could just be the low def I am having to watch it in. Other than that excellent watching.
What sort of heli is it? Mate of mine has a DJI S800 and very impressed with the quality of the vids you get from these things.

              Nice work.

nice work, as above it may have been the encoding for you youtube or what helimadness suggested, but it almost seemed like there was a few small jerks. Other than that very smooth and some great shots

Thank you for the feedback gents I will be doing a proper edited video with clips from all 3 videos we took that day. Some great footage in the others. There was a basking shark close to the shore when we arrived but unfortunately it was gone by the time we got the Hexa setup. That would have been amazing to get on film!

The aircraft is a Vulcan 1200mm Hexa, DJI WooKong FC, AV200 Gimbal with RSGS Stabilisation, Sony NX30 Camera shooting 1080 @50FPS. Obviously you'll never see the true detail on YouTube but it's not bad

                  Hi Simon,

Cheers mate The one and only time the gimbal has decided to be nice! lol

This was using a Sony NX30. The quality is superb. I think it's the newest semi-pro version of the CX730 (replaced by the PJ-780 now). One down from the NX70 i think?

At the moment we won't be. However, I am meeting the producer from NorthOne television tomorrow to hopefully get something done. We shall see!

Not at all, Sir If he's interested in taking a closer look at the Hexa PM me and I'll give you my contact number for your friend.

I know what you mean about the movements. It's this new lens in the NX30. Still getting used to it. It'll come though. When I put the proper edited video together with the other clips it will show smoother flow. Not bad though for a quick afternoon testing session. I was going to go for the S800 but was put off by a couple of things, which are seemingly sorted out with the V2 version due out shortly.

I'll take a look at that. What points are you seeing the jerky movements? I'll check it against the original.

Yeah - right near the beginning. I flicked it in to GPS hold. There will be a few others no doubt.

As I say. It's just the raw clip straight from the camera. Purely as a test piece. Normally when you see the final edited videos you don't see any of the bits in between lining up the shots etc. All that gets edited out

                        Impressive work.
Are you using FPV as well?
Some close up shots would have been better with wider lens but overall a good video.
                        Well done
