  • Setting blade pitch problems

    Hi,

Have a Trex 450 Sport Plus and have re-built the head. Noticed that I have more positive pitch than negative pitch on blades at high and low throttle stick.

Set linear pitch curve, servo horns at 90 degrees, swashplate level at mid, low and high point using a swahplate leveling tool.
Set 0 degree pitch at mid stick on both blades.
Full throttle have 10 degree + pitch, used Sawsh AFR to adjust.
At low throttle have 8 degree - pitch.

How do I get them even? Have read somewhere that you can raise or lower the swashplate by adjusting the links between servo and swashplate. Is this correct?

I am still learning so only doing slow flying around and using only 2 degree negative pitch at 0 throttle. Will having this difference make any difference to me?

    Thanks

Easiest way is through your tx in the pitch curve .

      Thanks
Yes this is correct, when setting up the swash and servos if you have way too much positive and not enough negative then you can adjust all 3 links to the swash either up or down to change the pitch range and get the swash in the middle of the travel on the shaft, this will not change your level swash settings as long as you adjust all 3 links equally. I think if you have too much positive you need to raise the swash a little, visa versa for the other way round. I have a 450 Pro FBL and can also tweak this by changing the lengths of the pitch rods that connect to the blade grips, not sure about a Sport Plus though.
