    MCPX Batteries, 35C or 45C

    Hi
    I am looking to get some Batteries for my MCPX V2.

    I want some cheap and cheerful batteries so I am looking at the
    Turnigy nano-tech 300mah 1S 35c and then the Turnigy nano-tech 300mah 1S 45c

    My Question is is the 45c much better than the 35c. Has anyone used these as well as the 35c for a comparison?
    I am in SA and can get the 35c ones locally but if the 45c is better I will order them form HK.

    I use the 35c ones and they have much more power than stock, if I understand it correctly the higher discharger rate 45c will give better performance under hard 3D. I get about 4-5 mins flight time with the 35c depending on temperature and how much I push it. There is a comment in the hobbyking discussion that says you can get 8 mins flight time with the 45c but as far as I understand it, it's the capacity that affects flight time rather than the discharge rate so I'm a little doubtful about that claim unless he's just hovering to lvc.

    I'd recommend the 35c if you can get them cheaper/easier and you're not doing hard 3D as these have been great for me.

        Higher C batteries will last longer as the volts drop will be less so more power will go to the motor, so you will need less throttle. In practice you will probably use the extra performance. C numbers are a bit arbitrary and are often just numbers used for marketing. It's better to measure the internal resistance of the two batteries. Turnigy blue were better than nanotech in the 2200mah 3S size, but I've just bought a 450mah 2S nanotech for the 130-X and it's a good battery. Things change and are difficult to predict with lipos, but as they get better and cheaper can't complain.

          I've recently got some of the 45c from HK. They do perform slightly better in 3D but the difference isn't massive. After 4 mins of flying loops the tail will still blow if I punch the pitch too much.

          After flying loops for a total of 4 mins 40 sec my charger is putting approx 200mah back into each battery so there is room for slightly more flight time in them. For anyone else considering these I'd say they're worth getting over the 35c variety as the price difference is tiny.
