  • 600 ESP main bearings

I just wondered if any of you 600 ESP owners are getting through main shaft bearings like I am ? I am checking and in most cases having to swap mine out after 20 ish flights. I use the dfc head and the ESP doesn't have a third bearing block so takes some punishment

I have only ever used the align replacements so are there better out there ? And are ceramic worth a try ???.

Don I'm running Rjx head, normal main shaft bearing fine, on two bearing blocks. Dfc head must be more stress full try ceramics me thinks.

      600 ESP main bearings

I swapped to kde thrusted units and I beat the hell out of mine and they last and last. Bearings in the blade grips now that's a different story.

Ive got a couple of spares from blue diamond bearings which are just around the corner. Made by a company called Mino, and cost £2.50 each.

You are welcome to try a couple and see if they fair any better.

Are you sure the bearing blocks are not slightly out of alignment, as in not totally parallel? I've had helis with only two main shaft bearings that just keep going for years. It sure seems if the bearings are big enough and the alignment is correct they should last a lot longer than 20 flights.

I don't think that's the problem as the shaft drops nice and smooth through the blocks. It's more than likely 'how' I fly ie not smoothly with rapid pitch and direction changes but I would like to try a different brand of bearing.

              Any of you tried ceramics?
