  • OWB Slipping?

Has anyone else had an issue with the OWB slipping on the 700E, The other day this happened

I Completely cleaned the bearing out and re greased as suggested in the manual and it still slipped today as soon as I did a pitch pump.

Anyone have any suggestions though think I'm just gonna have to suck it up and order a new one as want to definitely be flying next weekend. This heli is 30 flights old at most, more like 20!

    Cheers,

    Brett

I have no experience on 700e but i had a crash recently with my 600 efl pro and the owb is completely buggered. It was about 30 flights old. This never happened to raptor or hirobo before so i throught it is nowhere near as strong as they used to be.

You should open up the one way bearing case. There is a metal sleeve that the bearing sits in and I've read of people finding the sleeve slips inside the bearing case so check for signs of slipping.. This can be solved either by using loctite to fix the sleeve in place or drilling/tapping the case and adding a grub screw that grips the sleeve. Definitely worth a look as the one way bearing is quite expensive to replace.

If you think it's knackered, replace it... it's not worth the possible expense if you don't.

100% it will be the sleeve. Remove it, clean it, then a smear of red lock tote on the outside face and refit it. Allow a few hours for it to fully set and you'll be fine. I've had the same thing on 3 700's now...

+1 replace it. They are not expensive. You could buy a Align bearing, or for a tenna you could use this ( 10x14x12) Heli Clutch Bearings

Take 5 mins to change with a couple of sockets and a vice

Are you talking about the one way bearing in a nitro clutch??? The main one way bearing is a lot bigger than that, and costs about 45 quid!
