Hi All.
So finally got my tail on my 250 almost sorted to a state it was flyable. Still not a lot of confidence in it as seems a little jumpy at times but a lot better.
Its a copterx 250 but now with Align DFC head, carbon blades, complete tail and MKS tail servo. So just about all the important stuff now align with mechanics.
So got a few quick back to back flights in this morning. Last one lost control. Had been doing a lot of flips and rolls then went for some basic figure 8s and coming out of one tipped to the left and I couldn't stop it and in it went. Got throttle hold just before it hit the deck. Surprising all that happened was a boom support popped out which can get glued back in and broken skids. All shafts blades etc seem to have survived.
So im thinking the cause was servo failure. One of the cyclic s was stripped. Maybe this happened in flight or maybe it over heated and went crazy. They are just cheap Emax ones. I wanted to try and build a cheap clone. total waste of time. Never buying cheap crap again. Just not worth it and takes too long to get right.
So need some new Cyclic servos. Whats the best for a 250? Found some old threads but nothing very up to date. Also the Emax servos have a housing around the main shaft that stops me getting the ball links in any closer than about 14mm. So my 3GX setup on the Cyclic to get the 12 / 8 deg was around 30-35. Im sure this is not helping.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers
