  • 600N DFC mainshaft is finally here!

As the title says, a mainshaft for the trex 600N DFC is now available here in the UK.

Baldie very kindly offered to machine my current mainshaft into a DFC one, but had just informed me that they're instock at align trex.

It's a bit expensive. I am not sure why it should be any more than the standard shaft. In fact, if anything it should be cheaper, there is less metal in it.
Life's a bitch and then you fly!!

I'm considering converting my 600 le back to the standard head after a failed auto near cut the boom off.
Had it been a standard head I'm sure it wouldn't have destroyed its blades.

Apparently you need to tighten the blade grips up more than what you usually would to prevent the blade lagging. There's been a few stories of DFC boom strikes when performing 3D, but I've not heard about it happening in autos.

That one will, the original part H6NH001XX that was in the kits, does not.

Back to non DFC flybarless, the auto ended in the model coming down on one skid then going hard down on the other the blade pulled round & destroyed itself & put a dink in the boom no other apparent damage bar a destroyed blade & a slight bend in the boom only noticeable when the boom supports were taken off.
My 600 is a DFC conversion with a standard main shaft cut & drilled to suit.
