  • Receiver placement and selection help!

    Hi,

I'm at the stage of putting the 3GX into the receiver of the Trex 250 DFC.

I have an AR6115e and was hoping (probably wishful thinking) that I could get it into the main frame in the tiny space available.

On reading further into the manual, it seems that I don't actually need the AR6115e and could simply plug a satellite receiver (smaller and more likely to fit) directly into the 3GX, is this correct or will I need a receiver in addition to a satellite?

    TIA.

You can use with your rx, or attach 1 or 2 remote sat to be your rx and will give a tidier install

As I understand it if you use sats with the 3GX you need a 7channel or more receiver if you want to change gyro gain as it gets put on channel 7. The Dx6 has no channel 7.

      see http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/setup-...able-dx6i.html

      What transmitter do you have?

Right well from what I have read which could be a load of old crap the 3gx uses channel 7 for the gyro settings but of course the dx6i is only 6 channel but if you use an RX connected to the 3gx you dont get that problem because it uses channel 5, I have googled this and found loads of conflicting answers but it is something you should check out first.
