  • Fly bar less

    Hi,
Looking to change trex 600 to flybar less, I have a helicommand 3a, and found they can upgrade to rigid, so I think that sorts the electronics out..
As for heads Ive seen there is an upgrade kit about £90 or a dfc for about £50..
the dfc looks better.. am i missing something..
Anything else I need to know?

The £90 kit is everything you need I think you'll find the DFC kit is an add on for the newer blade grips which you don't get. I would plumb for the £90 as this has all the bits, new grips etc. Unless you specifically want the DFC setup

Yeah as said, The £90 Head includes the blade grips... where as the £50 is just the hub/shaft and bits. I'd go for the £90 unless the blade grips you have are upto date.

As for electronics I used to have a Helicommand rigid, Pretty straight forward software/setup, has the added bonus of auto correcting the heli for you. However if you arn't too bothered about the auto-save, then you could sell the helicommand and put the money towards a used/new vbar or even a new vortex depending on your budgets. These are more upto date, more supported units for FBL.

Is this the same items I would need to convert my 600esp?
I have a beastx so wouldn't mind converting to flybarless as my 600 ESP is such a nice machine.

Not sure about the main shaft you'd have to check that but the rest from the swash up should be fine

Just thought of something else too kisana if its an original 600 then the swash won't work with the fbl links you need the new one as you do with the dfc too

Mine is the 600 E.. is this the same? i understood main shaft different length between nitro and elec? Now found this comes with kit..
The dfc seems to be a lot cleaner and without and extra set of swash locker linkages? do i need these?
                            So..if Im right..
                            buy the grips

Says " Existing swashplate and newer main rotor grips are kept in the upgrade."
but do I still need swash?

Not sure we should put the DFC on an ESP. I think there is too much potential for a boom strike.
