I am using Trex700 transmission (trex700 clutch, clutch moun, clutch bell, start shaft and shroud)....gearing (main gear/pinion) is specially designed for this helicopter...
there are no cooling issues on this with this setup...

Hmmmm very interested will this conversion be available or are you purely experimenting for experimenting a sake?
Will it need v1 or v2 donor parts or won't it matter etc so many questions
Donor v1 550 airframe sitting on my shelf at home

tail shaking is settling down....if you look at the first video (on my channel) it was worrrrrrrrrse !
more fuel through it, properly break in the engine and it will get even smoother....

its a brand new engine with only 12oz fuel used in total of three flights.

Well I'd be interested in buying a kit of parts to convert my 550.

Nice work! What kind of flight times can you get out of it?

some changes done on the model:
                            - Replaced the main gear/pinion and tweaked the gear ratio a little bit more
                            - Power band is also updated due to main gear/pinion change
                            - Engine runs much happier and feels loaded.
                            - Now, using pinion bearing block from Trex700-N V2 with double bearings on the pinion
                            - Machined new side frames with 3.17mm (1/8") thick material

I feel that it was necessary to use thicker side frames...now the models absorbs vibrations much better then before..weight is also increased a little due to increase in thickness so back to almost 8.3 Lbs....but, its 100% worth....i know lighter is better, but, i like it vibration free, smooth AND lighter

Heli feels much better now - Engine sounds much smoother and consistent:
+/- 7 degree pitch (no loss of RPM)
                            520mm main blades
Engine is running at ~12500 RPM
(I need to change tail gyro on this model which i will in the next couple of days...i am still running Align GP750 - not one of my favorite)

please check the video....specially after 1:30
