  • Please help!! mcpx take off!

I know the awnser is out there somewhere as I'm sure I've seen it before but I can't find it if looked for 2 days d now just want to fly this !#%&!#? thing!

It won't take ! I have bound correctly I know this as I've read all the stuff about throttle hold ect.. It keeps trying to fly downwards!! When I pick it up and try to take off it pushes down? I took blades off and changed the feathering shaft and replaced the skids after a crash and now it just won't take off!
Please help me I'm fed up!

sounds like you have the collective pitch reversed. IE getting negative instead of positive etc.

Im not 100% how to reverse it on the mcpx with it being flybarless. Gimme a bit ill look up the answer for you

righto, go into your reversing menu on your radio. If Spektrum (which im assuming) Channel 6 or collective pitch should be reversed.

So it sounds like you have it in normal at the minute. But basically that channel needs to be the opposite of what it is now.

And if you need the manual its here

I had a similar problem with a Nano, the blades had a downward pitch angle. Turned out the head wasn't seated far enough down on the mainshaft, so the linkages were permanently pitching the blades downward - worth checking? The head-securing screw could be loose, movement in transit if it's new, not seated properly if it's moved when you've had a bump!

Dont forget to make sure the main gear is correctly aligned with the flat on the shaft and pushed up fully or you will loose positive pitch.

Hi I'm using the standard dx4e made a right mess of my swash trying to level it off but nearly flat again ! The blade pitch on idle up is not perfectly at zero but close at mid stick. I will try the main shaft screw could be that but I think there is only one hole for it to go in, I haven't Eva take the main shaft out flew it about 20 times fine had this crash an now it thinks I'm ready for inverted (I'm not!). I got a longer tail boom 52mm the main gear is seated properly as I'm used to getting that back on!

Sounds like you need to push the main gear back up the main shaft. They often slip down when you crash.

EDIT: or maybe not having just re-read your last post!

Check the headgear anyway: the Nano doesn't have a hole at all in the mainshaft, just two screws on opposite sides gripping flats at the top of the shaft, which are normally hidden inside the headgear, so the exposed shaft looks round.

i have just found out that my pitch is at zero when i go from middle stick to the bottom and back to middle, but if i go from middle stick up to top and back down to middle the pitch is out by alot but then if i got back down to bottom and back to middle its at zero again?! sorry if that's confusing. what could this be surely that's not right!

I take it blades are going right way round, did you take out motor plug at any time? Will it spin backwards if plugged in wrong way round? Have you cleaned servos lately, are they moving up and down freely? Try while in throttle hold or with blades off. Do servos move up when you throttle up? When you leveled swash, did you have throttle and pitch curves linear from 0 to 100? Have you changed throttle and pitch curve, if so one or both are too low. By your last post it Sounds like you need to clean servos. Have you knocked trimmer on controller? You might be adding some unwanted trim which they don't like. What are your d/r and expo settings, any travel adjust or subtrim?

How long have you had heli? If you hold it and start up motor, it will push down, because you will have negative pitch, until you get over mid stick you won't have positive pitch which will start getting you in the air.

When you say 'I'm using dx4e, made a right mess of swash', how did you level swash? If you used subtrim on dx to level swash, there's your trouble. The swash should be leveled mechanically, ie few turns one way or other on servo rod/ball link. All subtrims should be zero.

hi im going to have to check to awnser all your questions but thanks alot for helping it is appreciated! i done the adjustments using ball joint on servo rod all sub trims are central, havent cleaned the servos will have to find out how to do that properly. brought it new a month ago flew it around 15 full batteries. never touched any plugs apart from the tail boom one as i replaced the tail boom with a solid cf one of 152mm wrapping wire round and into the main board. when i start the heli from bottom stick it starts as normal but when i increase the stick upwards it pushes down harder and harder until i reach full stick then as i slow it down it sometimes tilts to one side and occasionaly hops off ground just a couple of inches and then the motor stops as normal doesnt go to take off until just over half stick as it did when it was ok. servos move up and down as they should and in all directions as they should, one thing incase it matters is i did a few times move the white cog at the bottom of the servo round lowering the servo arm with the battery off. blades wont move the wrong way round they jolt if pushed but i try not to do that. not sure what you mean by plugin in to see if they go round wrong way? expo is on on my dx4e. when i said i messed the swash up i find it hard to change pitch without unleveling the swash as the blade ball links (the ones that attach onto the blade holders) arent adjustable like they was on my hbk2.
                              thanks again.
