    If only they were still this simple.

    Well I finally got the webra 61 out my champion and thought this would be a nice point to get a frame pic uploaded.

    I hope to get this up and running over the next few months and am really looking forward to it.

    The fuse is in good condition and is only in need of minor patching before a thorough filling and sanding and then spraying.

      I had a Webra 61 engine once in a 2nd hand heli (or maybe it was a Rossi, can't be exactly sure) which had odd mounting hole dimensions and even odder exhaust mounting hole dimensions. I had real trouble tracking down an exhaust for it, but eventually found one at Just Engines which fitted after a bit of fettling.

      The engine kinda worked ok, but never enthused me with much confidence.

      Good luck with the project. Will be good to see it going.

        The mechanics are complete Steve along with the original Schluter silencer made for the fuse. I'm hoping to get it going using the original 61 but if needs must I'll drop an OS 70 in it.

        Just seeing If i can track down some windows for the fuse the fitted ones are knackered after years of shed storage.
        If not I'm gonna have to make a Vac forming machine and try by best at making some molds.

            That should be a really nice model when you've finished it. I had a couple of Champions and I think they were the best of the Schluters. Better than the Scout that replaced it IMO. I see yours is a later one with the solid engine mounts rather than the pressed steel ones.

            Please tell us you're going to change the color scheme though.

            There's a Jet Ranger for sale on Ebay at the moment. The seller thinks it's a Kalt, but it looks to have a Schluter Superior in it to me and it could be a Schluter fuselage.
