evening all , been playing with the 700 for a few flights now , but unlike the 500`s , 550`s and 600`s that i have owned and crashed , i just can`t seem to get it right , i have tried the 2250 head and 13.5 col and 10 cyclic , but that wasn`t me , i think i`m back upto 2450 , 12.5 col n 10.5 cyclic , shes quick n responsive , but it just ain`t happening like it did with the others , with my A-specs i get my 3 min in the air flight , i just can`t work out why i ain`t bonding with the 700 , i have tried a multitude of adjustments , i don`t use expo , even tried that , its hard to explain , i`m not sure if its the big disc or me or what , as you can tell , i ain`t a clue , maybe its the cold , anyways , sorry , had to get it off my chest , but its bugging me

The 90 size electrics are a handful and with all that power you can can easily find it running away from you. Thats why i got rid of mine, just couldnt gel with it at the time. People say that these big electrics are good at hiding a poor collective management but id say the opposite and they actually highlight a poor collective management, with me id find the heli coming way too fast through manouvres and generally feeling out of control and thats the reason i couldnt gel with mine. don`t know how you would describe my style , just as hard as i can , i just don`t feel connected , usually within a flight or two i`m there , but not this time for some reason ? maybe i just gotta work more on my GT5 settingsSeakingComment

I had the same feeling as Tony, his comments highlighted the exact issues I had, The 700n is fantastic but the E has so much grunt it took some control to get things right.Comment

Get vbar or beast x....2150 idle 1 2250 idle 2 is ample for agressive flight

I still think that the 2450 that Pg tached you at is just to much on the DFC although I know you like it flat out!! I run mine at 2100 in idle 2 which I think is plenty but the main thing for me is changing to vbar, it's made a big difference. I had Beastx before which is still very good but vbar is definitely just better, can't comment on the GT5 though as not flown it but it could be a big factor.

as above try a different controller maybe vbar, ive talked to a couple of people who have flown the gt5 on there raptor g4's and they say it's not that good on the larger machines so maybe worth a changeComment

i`ve used the gt5 on everything except the 700 , i`lll approach this weekend with a different attitude , as i did with the other heli`s . i can`t justify another unit at present . hhmmmm , maybe its all in my head , thanks for the replies , i`ll fiddle a bit more and see how this weekend goes , thank you all for replying , its nice to share
