Probably a silly question but do I need to use the governor switch, on the 14SG, to use the VBar governor or do I use the idle up switch? This is on an Align 600E PRO.

By setting up a single bank in the v-bar and having the governor enabled in that bank means there is no switch to throw to do anything. The governor becomes active when the throttle output hits 50%. It is common therefore to have a flat throttle curve somewhere up in the 90% region on one of the flight modes and just switch into it from throttle hold. The v-bar governor will take of a slow spool up and eveything else.
