  • ys 91 very hard to start ,loads of compression

really struggled to get my 91 started today, align starter might aswell stay in the case and tried with a fully charged dewalt cordless which struggled but got it running! its not hydrolocking and ive tried with pressure line off but really struggles, got a load of compression as it always had but im a bit miffed as to why its struggling! also noticed clutch hasnt got long left as it takes about quarter stick until it grabs, but cant see any reason it could be linked to the clutch other than maybe one of the arms has snapped and is wedging between clutch and bell! anything i should be looking at? gonna drop the motor tomorrow evening

I had a align starter ok on 0s90, but would not start either of my ys engines, I use a dynatron on 4s starts fine now

would you say the ys have more compression than other 90s? was having none of it today and the more i think about it its gotta be something with the clutch with it starting to fail at the same time,

My YS is a b!tch to start first time of the day, but is then normally okay. That is with a Dynatron.

I haven't been out with it for 5 months now; can't wait to see how difficult it is when I try to start it next time
