  • Replacement Joystick Parts

    Hello everyone.
I am NOT an RC Heli addict, rather an inventor looking for specific parts.

Im am designing a musical instrument system for paraplegics.
Im trying to source a high(ish) resolution joy-stick part and thought immediately of RC transmitter joysticks.

I can only imagine that the advanced pilot can choose what kind of joystick they use and there are resolution trims?
And that when one breaks, one replaces the part, not the whole Tx unit.

Does anyone know of which manufacturer supplies these kind of joystick parts and where I might be able to see data or any info at all related to them?

    thanks very much

I would say youd be best speaking to Horizonhobby.co.uk they are the uk importer of Spektrum products, Or Ripmax.co.uk they are the importer of Futaba products.

Thats is where we would get supplies of spares from and they will have all the info that you need
Some say my left nipple is the shape of a Raptor canopy.......... And that for fun I chase sheep in wellies 3 sizes too big. All I know is I am 3D Clod

You might want to consider something a bit more sturdy than the units fitted to RC transmitters.
Have a look at the various units here:

Buy joystick online from RS Components

Or do a search for industrial joystick and see what else comes up.

SLM in Cheltenham used to make all sorts of bits for British RC manufacturers "back in the day". They still have some joystick parts available:

RX1000 Box, original designed as the receiver case for the R.C.M and E radio control system, by SLM (Model) Engineers.

Give them a call - they are very friendly and helpful!

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery.
