Somebody on here just runs it from a 6 cell pack but on a 12 cell setup, his wiring must be interesting, Ian.

Mine is running from my esc leads at 50v the power leads directly soldered to the esc board seems to work a treat....big gryphon fan

6 cell pack thing is easy you just for exaple solder one wire to the red and one to the black on the same pack

I run it off 1 pack on both my 12s 7hv's.

The bec wires have to go on the left of that picture - side from esc.

The reason I did it this way is so I can work on set ups etc on gyro without the esc/ motor live. Also gives the bec components a easier time.

                  Ady,

I run a Gryphon Agena 45v bec on my DFC and although the Quasar can run on 12s if I were you I'd run it on 6, just much kinder on the system. As can be seen in Heathy's pic above just make sure that you solder it the negative side of the esc, ask me how I know!! Negative of Gryphon - negative of esc and positive of Gryphon - positive of same pack.
It's a very easy mistake to make, soldering it to the wrong pack, I was just not concentrating when I got it wrong and it cost me a full set off servos and an rx!! If you solder it the positive side of the esc what happens is when you plug in the second pack you send 25v straight into the negative of the system and lots of instant black smoke is the result!! :-)
I should add however that Gryphon products are bullet proof so the Quasar will be fine on 12s should you prefer it but no need IMO. :-)

No switch Chris (unless you want to use a Gryphon pin switch) and have had zero issues with any of my Gryphon regs/BEC.
I use a Gryphon Agena on my 700, 45v so wired as described above off one 6s pack, been working perfectly.

You got any pictures of this? How did you solder the BEC leads on to the ESC Board without desoldering the main ESC power leads?
