    trex 600n dfc

    dont no if this has been posted yet but just thought id let you guys know the 600n dfc is finally available for pre order an align-trex.co.uk

    well spotted

    not a bad price for a FBL 600 sized super combo...i think these will be very popular and the value of the second hand FB 600n will drop even further !

    hopefully the head and main shaft will available as parts soon so we can all upgrade without requiring your own machining company

      I just got an email from Align Trex about this. I'm refusing to spend any more money on helis other than maintenance, as I keep spending and never flying.

          Looking forward to the dfc parts being released as I've wanted to try a dfc head on my 600 for a while but couldn't be bothered to mod a main shaft.

          Only down side is seeing a nice new shiny kit is very tempting

            Talked to Raj today, he is making sure that the order for the nitro dfc shafts go in as soon as he can.
            the 600 itself will have the latest 615/655 servos, black unbreakable gears, new radio tray and obviously the dfc head, plus the other v2 upgrades like carbon tail control shaft, I am sure there is more but details are a bit thin on the ground at the moment

              I just finished building my 600 DFC kit from Raj, the main shaft in the kit is too short to engage the third bearing block! Align packed the wrong shafts with early kits maybe! So i checked with Raj, there is a longer shaft soon to be available! And although Align wont be providing these to people with the early kits!! Raj has offered to do so! That is good service

                that's a shame but at least Raj will help you out he is a great guy, What is it with align an the main shaft for the 600n dfc will they ever get it right

                    ! Well this is my first Align 600 so not familiar but there are 2 metal blocks above the main gear and a plastic block below it which is currently redundant

                      Ah ok so the 3rd block is still there.

                      Looking on the Align site seems there is some confusion

                        Glad you posted that as I was on the brink of ordering the new kit but if the shaft issue is the same for all the kits I think I'll wait a while

                        When I first looked at upgrading my old 600LE to fbl I was surprised that I couldn't find an online supplier that was offering a complete upgrade option ie head, grips, feathering shaft etc. It would be helpful if one of them was to offer a comprehensive upgrade kit for the DFC when the parts are available.

                          I have the Le and was looking to upgrade to fbl. On ebay there are complete upgrades but it states for the lecy versions rather than nitro would these not be the same?

                            No.. they have different length main shafts, that's why you had to mod the the leccy main shaft to fit a nitro,
                            I spoke to Raj @ align trex to other week and he was going to ordered spares when he ordered the kits so we could all up grade our old nitro's to DFC..

                              I am in the process of moving parts from my 600e airframe to a 600n airframe. My 600e was fitted with a DFC head (by me) towards the end of last year. I remember having to mod my standard (non DFC) main shaft to accomodate the DFC head and my modded main shaft engaged the third bearing. When the correct shaft hit the shops I fitted one however the new DFC main shaft for the 600e did not not engage the third bearing but the heli flew perfectly fine. I have now moved the DFC head in its entirety (including main shaft & main gear) over to the 600n and it fits perfectly in the 600n frame with no modification!!!. It still doesn't engage with the third bearing block but I have no issue with that as the 600e flew perfectly fine.
