  • 600mx 'Balance adjust'?...

I keep reading that the 600mx has a special 'balance adjust', but cant find out anything more than this....

Im chasing vibes on my 600e, and wondered if anyone has got to the bottom of this?.... This feature is on all the 600mx (and 700mx) adverts, but apart from listing it as a feature, I cant find anything about how it works.

    Any help gratefully received.

I just read that as meaning they were balancing the armature during manufacturing?

ah right, hardly a 'feature' then lol....

amazing that something that should be a standard part of manufacture is a 'feature' ;(

Didn't notice any evidence of this when I disassembled mine last month - just a few bits of clay smeared among the magnets. And a dried up woodlouse next to one of them, maybe it was extremely skilled.

Check counter gear in boom block for up and down play Jimbob.my 550 had this and I had to file bolt holes in frame to squeeze the block top and bottom together to stop the play.

Maybe they just mean you can push the armature in and out a bit with a press? I mean, you can do that, and it is an adjustment, and one that I do make when I'm replacing bearings..

I noticed that the text you mentioned seems to be talking about very small motors:

The 600MX motor armature had a special balance adjust to improve the serious shaking problem that other tiny motors have
If you search for "tiny motor armature adjustment" then there something vaguely related:

Foreign copy & paste problem I think, you're right it's been quoted absolutely everywhere! Maybe they're trying to describe the adjustment of how far you thrust the rotor into the housing, maybe it's just some funny English words they like to have next to every motor description from now on.
