    Tail too fast

    Hi I have a 450 pro 3gx with V3 installed. I have struggled a bit to get this set up but I am almost there just I have an issue with speed of the rudder travel its Lightning fast with very little stick movement to get full throw and I guess great for some but I really need to slow it down if possible. I fly a 600le other than this and dont have any expo on the rudder but have now added expo on my tx to try and dampen down the rudder on the 450 is there any other thing to try please. All other parts, servos arms etc are standard align. I am only looking to do some sport flying with it to start with loops rolls and such.

    If you limit the overall travel in the tx you can tame it to your liking
    How much expo have you put on?

      Hi tx travel is currently set to 100/100 and expo at 40% I think.

        Have you done the tail calibration in the 3GX?

          Try 70/70 and leave your 40 expo and see how that feels

              Thanks as much as a snow filled garden will let me try that seems to have been the problem, just need to wait and try it in a bit more space to finish trimming it out.

                Hey.

                As already posted you can speed up or slow down the piro rate using the rudder channel ATV values. Altering these values does not effect the overall tail travel, but tells the gyro how fast/slow to let the tail piro at in degrees per second.

                  I've also been setting up my 3gx on my 500efl but as a self confessed noob I am following instructions to the letter. I noticed the rudder was way to fast until I had correctly setup the tail following the vids that Tom just posted. Think you just need to double check and recheck as I only got it right on my third attempt (I said I was a noob)
