  • hitec aurora , beep then bye bye 600

hello all , does anyone have a good insight into the aurora 9 transmitter please , the reason is today during the second flight of my brand spanking new 600e pro , the transmitter beeped and i had no control , i hit throttle hold in-case it kicked in at the wrong time and she fell to mother earth flat , so little damage except bust undercart , and one servo is shot . now i have been thru it all i realize my rec battery low warning wasn`t switched on , so i`m wondering what was the beep i heard before my loss of control , i have tried to find it in the manual , but can`t . i use a 2100 li-fe battery for the servos , and it feeds 4 separate ports so plenty of juice going in lots of places , i have discharged and checked the li-fe pack today since and that appears fine , about 30 flights and hyperion in make , i use the transmitter for other heli`s and my 500 was fine , sorry to run on , but what was the beep ?

Did you use the radio on other helicopters after the crash? Does the tx have a tx battery low warning?

hi , yep i flew my 500 afterwords and that was fine , it does have a transmitter low warning but i have had the transmitter on most of the afternoon trying to replicate the same problem , but yet to get anymore beeps of the same as the field , i have now changed the 9ch to a 7 ch rec and will try again in the morning

All 9 channel receivers have auto battarey telemetery on them, it could have been a warning beep to let you know the receiver battary was to low.

One thing I have now spotted is that when I had this transmitter in the past , once I'd flown and unplugged the receiver , the transmitter would beep due to lack of receiver voltage . Now when I unplug my rec , the transmitter does not beep to warn of no voltage and still shows 6.6v from the rec that's not plugged in ? Am I worrying to much or should I get it checked by hitec

Taszo , I did a discharge n recharge of my li-fe pack and all is well according to my charger , took another 1600mha out of it once home on a 3 amp discharge , so I hoping to rule that one out , plus I should said I run a gt5 which shows the lowest voltage , this stated 5.7v at the crash site , oh I hate it when I can't find the problem on the bench

Umm I only other one I can think of is a beep that will go off when a receiver is switched off and the transmitter is still on, it's is very unlightly that it lost signal though as it is so good, timer or something like that as you can set two up to go off, other than that you might be looking for nothing. Mine has never lost signal unlike my spectrum radio.

Make sure you charge the tx over night, don't just unplug it when showing 100% on bar still leave it over night it will last a lot longer.

i sure will i have found another one of my DS610`s burnt up inside , so i`ll presume that was something to due with my lack of control , i have fitted another rec n batt and will ry again tomorrow with another 610 in place of the smellie one , thanks for all your replies and i`ll close this now so i can move on n find some other servos
