  • Vbar tail on Nitro's

After all the Vbar tips to setting up the tail.
Tried all I can to sort tail.
    New servo
    Longer arm.
    Setting up in rate mode.

    Upped and upped the gain.
Currently at 115% but still blowing out.
    Using a Savox version of a ds650
Futaba cross arm. On outside hole. Was on 5 point arm outside hole.

Tried kbdd's on tail and Align carbon's

I can't even get a angry wag. What am I missing?

Using 5.3 pro if that helps on a Silverline unit

    Model is a Trex 700 using a Os 105.
It's letting go before engine bogs
    Cheers Paul

SImples If you do not have the mechanical power then it will blow out on heavy tail moves. Either increase the pitch range and / or go up in tail blade size.....

Surely my Electric has more power then the nitro so why would the nitro need bigger tails.

I have run the electric on 715 and not had problems like this

Had exactly the same yesterday on mine Paul, 700 with YS91 running about 1950 with 105 carbon tails. I did think I'd bogged it slightly and it didn't happen again but it was quite a big collective/cyclic move so maybe justa bit more than the engin can handle

Is the electric not a quicker tail speed.

It would depend on the gearing. The electrics tail may be spinning faster on the electric

I was using a arm with 13.5mm now using 15.5mm
Feels better on the bigger arm. Travel is 95ish now was 114 at worse

I don't currently fly any ALIGNs and have never owned a TRex 700, but I'm sure I read something recently that the electric has a higher tail speed, therefor more mechanical gain.

it could be mechanical maybe the hub bearings need changing, but i would think it is a vbar issue as you are running the gains silly high.
Are you sure you have the correct settings in the tx, gain needs to be adjusted via the laptop on the vbar, i would do the full setup again

                          Sounds the same.
It's not bogging it loading a bit.

Can any one get the tail to wag with high gain. Is 115% to much? It's in the red
