  • Servo grommets

Are people fitting these in their G4's, or just hard mounting? Can't really tell from the instructions, and the servos in the combo didn't come with grommets?

Not much more to do. Work out a nice route for the elevator servo wire, tidy all the wires up at the front. Then mount the governor sensor on a suitable bracket (thinking of just using the TT bracket here and scrapping the supplied governor in the combo....can't find a good word to be said about it). Vbar is 99% programmed, so hoping for a break in the weather over the half term next week for her maiden.
    Cheers,
    Simon

    Re: Servo grommets

I did use them on my Outrage HV servos.

I used a CSM Gov mount, I needed to grind some off the side, as it failed on the engine case but now fits perfect. I'm.using vbar gov with align sensor.

I use the rubber bits but never use the brass sleeves on any of my servos I do use the little ali plates though that act as washers....

I've got a csm mount somewhere, will try that. Looks like I will be dropping out the servos again this week then. Thanks for the replies.

Servos refitted with the grommets. Couldn't get the CSM mount to work, so I just cut all the wires off the Thunder Tiger governor mount and mounted the Align governor sensor to it. Really chuffed with how neat the installation has turned out. Loads of space to put things, and loads of holes for tie wraps etc. Normally dread doing the wiring, but this has been enjoyable. Just need my rx packs to turn up now. Really looking forward to flying this.
