600n with DFC head?

    600n with DFC head?

    I'm slow in the uptake with upgrades. i prefer not to spend money if I can keep the heli flying well enough...
    Today I stuffed my 600n in - thankfully I'd won the radix blades in a raffle so I am not too depressed...

    As I have bent a blade grip arm on my converted to flybarles head, I'm thinking of spashing on a DFC head.
    My head is the original 600n pro, in the slightly green grey, original one piece blade grips etc.
    I need more than the 550e/600DFC Main Rotor Head Upgrade Set H60239A
    [H60239A]

    looks like i need
    600Pro Metal Main Rotor Holders H60204

    but is there a commercial main shaft that works? or do I need to cut the original one down?
    my 600n is the original 600 pro, from 4-5 year ago.

    just check this post Fitting a DFC Head to the T-Rex 600 Nitro « Team Midland - there is no official upgrade as for the 600esp for example afaik

      I found that midland article - I wondered if it was still the case? or maybe they issued a new mainshaft...

          As far as I know, we are still waiting for an official 600N DFC main shaft, the ESP one does not fit.

            No, thats for the electric ESP. Looks like there isn't one for the nitro!

              thats what I've said - I checked the official align parts prior to posting ... so except there is a 3rd party shaft I dont see the option ...

              maybe there is an option to get Mr Turnbull make a batch of them :P

                a chap at our club had to have a couple of shafts machined this week for spares, after a spill with his 600dfc, so dont think they are yet.





                trex 550 (HC3SX)
                trex 600 nitro le (beastx)
                compass 6HV (Spirit)
                dx8.....

                  You still have to cut a standard main shaft at the top and drill a new hole. I have just converted my 600N to dfc - I flew it today and it seems really good, crisp and responsive.
                  Trex 700 DFC - Vortexted, TRex 600, OUTRAGE FUSION 50, 500ESP, 450PRO, 130x.

                    Not a biggie really, you can cut it and drill it your self. I had it done both mine at my local machine shop,but seeing what is involved I will do it my self next time I need one.....or two!
                    It can get pretty expensive for the conversion to DFC. My 600n is the V2 and I only had to purchase the 550-600 DFC kit.

                    Also agree with the above, feels very crisp and responsive.

                      just done mine running vbar cyclic and pitch is hard to get in range have quick uk servos wheels to go on to cut mechinical gain so you may find this. heard beast x is a little easier to set

                        I install one on my 600n and all I can say it's so smooth now. I cut down the main shaft.

                          Cut the min shaft myself.
                          Flies really nice, the little wobbles I had on sudden stops before are gone.
                          Seems like a worthwhile upgrade.
                          But I fear crashes will be more expensive!
