3GX + DSMX Sats = DSM2 ??

    3GX + DSMX Sats = DSM2 ??

    Just a quickie - does that sound right? When I bind my 3GX that's got 2 x DSMX sats connected to it to my DX8 TX, it sees it as DSM2 and binds as such. I don't seem to be able to get it to bind as DSMX.

    I've been able to find plenty that says the 3GX doesn't have a receiver as such, the sats are the receiver, so I'm a bit confused that it's seeing it as DSM2. Not a problem as such if that's correct, I just wanted to check. Especially given my DX8 seems to have a range issue with DSM2 which I'm going to call HH about in the morning!

    \the bind command that comes from the 3GX is probably 5 pulses that is a dsm2 bind command you may have to update the 3gx to enable it to issue a dsmx bind command (9 pulses)

      The 3gx only uses DSM2, it's not DSMX.

        OK cool - as long as that's right then I'm done. The DSMX sats were only about a £1 more than the DSM2's so not overly concerned on that one - I'm sure the DSMX will come in handy one day on some other model. The 3GX is already v2.1 so there's no updating to be done
