When I open the computer interface for 3GX v. 2.1 on my windows 7 computer I am not able to view the whole screen. Is there some setting I need to change to fix this?

The 3GX software along with the 3G for that matter will only work with the default windows font size and DPI settings, if you've changed either of these to make the screen more readable for instance you will have to return these to there default settings in order to stop stuff sliding off the sides of the 3GX program. You may be able to get away with setting up a new account on Windows 7 just for the 3GX software as I think you might be able to get away with different font sizes and DPI per account on Win 7.Martyn

Thanks,
I figured it out. Working good now.
Another question on the interface. When i change the settings in the software and click the "write" tab to update the 3GX , I recieve a "fail" message. What am I doing wrong? I know if I change the settings and then go to file I can save the settings as a new file. Then when I click on that file and open it, all the settings seem to be saved.

well probably saved but not written to the 3GX itself? ... what version is your 3GX? could it be that you havent updated the device to 2.1 yet but want to write 2.1 settings?Sev

Yes check the firmware version, this is shown on the top line if the program 4th from the right. Also the USB link check again on the top line at the far right should be green if it's connected properly. Also remember the 3GX must be powered on and initialised properly to get a link on the 3GX software.Martyn

Hey.
The failure message you are getting is a quirk of the software, you will find if you unplug the USB lead from the PC/Laptop and plug it in again and click "write" it will work all ok. I think it's a bug in the software drivers really, as once the software detects the model connected again it normally works for me.
This was present in older firmwares as well as the newer V2.1, which if you are not already on this one is worth upgrading to. Align did good with this version and it flies awesome!
