It's a standard one, not a Pro but second generation or SE - assuming that the parts are generally original, the tail and the canopy is second generation at least.

The black head assembly is from the first 250 range then the SE came out with silver head assy with Chinese weighted tail so i guess its the first if the 250's with the upgraded tail & the lightening strike canopy was not stock on any of the 250's & was design as a replacement
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

so we think its a first generation 250 with a newer tail case? How about the tail rotor and grips? is that the newer weighted type as well?

                +1 on tourerjim,
Your 250 looks like the first generation which i believe had the .9 screws in the frames where as the SE had 1.3 screws.(the .9 screws can be changed to the later 1.3mm).
Yes the tail looks same as the SE tail, the tail blade grips look to be the later type with larger weights.
I think most of the 250 parts are interchangeable.

It is the first of the 250's, tail case i don't think ever got upgraded tail drive shaft did, if you look at the tail grips they have lugs on the sides known as the Chinese weighted grips, the original ones where rounded.

Yes i too had one of the first 250's the tail was a nightmare, there was a company RRC that supplied a Chinese weight kit that i used for a while until align brought out grips with just small weights lugs in the casting of the grip, then there are the grips of the SE, align had increased the size of the weight lugs again which work fine for the tail now.
