I'm helping a newbie and he's dropped off his Raptor 30 and DX8 for me to setup and then we can have a little training session anyway gotta love the simplicity of the R30..

But the DX8 has an interesting issue and I can't seem to find the fix.

I setup a new model heli in the TX so all the data is fresh and starting from scratch checking over various setting I noticed in the servo monitor that both throttle & Pitch travel is 94 to 96 not 100% to 100%.

I've ran around this TX and nothing should be limiting the travel is this a DX8 bug ? will I have to get it sent to HH ?
    Cheers

Press and hold the scroll wheel and turn on the radio, go to 'system settings', then scroll down and click 'next', and next again on the following screen, and again on the next screen. This will take you to the stick calibration menu (depending on the firmware version)

Looks like its version 2.02 and I can't find a stick calibration screen.

                Be very carefull

Each radio is required to download its very own firmware that matches the PID number.

The firmware is linked to each individual transmitter's serial number and firmware from one DX8 won't work on another, so you'll have to register the TX using its serial number before you can download/install the new firmware.

no need to be careful, wrong PID? update refused by device ...

Definitely back up your models to the SD card and transfer them to the PC before updating the firmware (you can never be too careful) but the newest firmware works fine and I didn't lose any models or settings when I updated it.
