    500 Super Combo

    Is the logo 500 super combo (£659) as good a deal as it appears to be?

    Given price of core kit and then adding all the other components seems like its a steal for the price...

    Guessing its a solid piece of kit since its Mikado

    Opinions welcome

    Was wondering the same. Always fancied a Logo but they have been well out of my price range in the past.

      If you add up the cost the core parts - which don't seem half bad (and since you can also order from Mikado direct i would assume they're not wanting to show their heli in poor form) it seems really cheap

        I think it's a great deal - cheaper than the 550 3GX supercombo!

        I don't see any reason not to get it but the crash costs will be higher than the 550.

          Needless to day, the Mikado's are more fragile than the Trex 550.

            Just looked into this ... and think i found an achilles heel?

            The servos listed on the logo supercombo are mini savox servos ... with a torque figure suitable for a mini servo.
            GIven the logo 500 is really equivalent in size (swings the same blades) as a trex550 aren't they a bit on the small side?

            Trex 550 combos include align ds610's which are 9-12kg torque with 0.08s motion
            The Savos SH-1257MG's are listed as having 2.6kg torque with 0.09s motion

            Having a 3rd the power seems underpowered unless i'm missing something ... even if logo is lighter its not THAT much lighter
            Motor seems reasonable and everything else .... just the servo figures strike me as odd

                The logo 500 will be between a 500 and 550. The 500se is between a 550 and 600 in comparison. I think the although the parts on the mikado are top rate, they don't need to be as big as the weigh is no where near the Trex

                Edit... You have to wonder if the super combo is a cut back version as the 'full' 500 kit is around 300euro more and has higher end kit in it.

                  Am I missing something or do you also need cyclic servos? That will add 100plus to the price ?

                    No... combo includes 3 Savox SH 1257 TG swash servos
                    Which are seemingly actually rudder servos anyway too ... bit still minis

                      You have to say its a great kit for the money. I think I would have had to consider this before i bought my trex550. My kit cost me around 680 In the end but I have changed the 3gx to 7200bx and the esc to a cc80hv v2 and bec pro while doing it.

                        It is ... only concern is the servos ... seem undersized and therefore underpowered for a heli that really is all but a 550 class

                              Think you've mixed up the 1257 TG and 1257 MG. Savox don't list a SH1257TG in their catalogue but they do have a SC1257TG listed which is marked as suitable for Heli's. Either LOGO did a typo in their info or Savox haven't got round to releasing the SH1257TG seperately.
